The day I turned 18, was the day I realised how blessed I am with all the loving and supporting people around me. In the midst of flatness and despair that had been haunting over the last few months, my birthday came like an oasis, showing life is still so much precious to be grateful for.
If anyone ever asks me the best birthday I've ever had, it's definitely the last one. March 5th 2012, who at first seemed to be pretty dull turned out to be a day full of bliss and surprises. What's so special about it? :)
- Touching sincere wishes | I woke up that morning to several birthday greetings via short messages coming from friends and relatives. Going to school felt so fast while reading all the lovely wishes sent for me. There was actually nothing special happening at school, except that a lot of people greeted me birthday whenever I walked to the school's canteen and restroom. Some slapped me so hard I could feel heat on my cheeks. However, being a birthday girl for one day at school was fun!
- A surprise from XI Science 3 | As the bell rang, I stayed at school 'cause I had nothing to do while waiting for social course at 16.30. I was copying songs for Ardi from the computer when suddenly Iqi and Ara came in sudden. Novi did too, and pulled my hand, and brought me to XII Science 3 where there were already some of my friends from 11th grade bringing a cake and sang a birthday song! So happy they still remember me, I miss you my girls so so much! thanks ♥
- 20 splendid cakes from Kang Aomers and eASY | After I finished eating the cake together with my friends, I came back to my class, and only several people were there. I was kinda bored because my friends were nowhere to be found since school finished at 12. So I decided to play the class' computer again. But when I was about to sit down, suddenly I saw a lot of my friends from Kang Aom and eASY (and several other close friends) came in one by one, sang again a birthday song, and each one of them brought a small cake on their hand. I blew the candles out and then noticed that there were 20 cakes! Stuck on each cake was a post-it note with wishes on it from the one who brought it. Every cake was designed everything about me; Maroon 5, James Bond, Germany, Argentina, Harry Potter, PEPE letters, IEUI, and my most favourite one, Gray Makara of University of Indonesia. I was soooo out of words and touched I couldn't even drop a tear. It was all just too sweet :')
- A package of bicycle stuff from brother | Every birthday, my brother never forgets to give me presents. Knowing how I love biking and that my parents just bought me a new bike several weeks earlier, this year he gave me a package with complete bicycle stuff in it. I was so excited! I know they cost a lot, and I can only thank God for having blessed me with a reaaally nice family.
- Celebration with XII Science 2 | On Thursday (8/3) I treated my classmates in a pizza restaurant after school. Anyway, it was Odah's birthday! While we were waiting for our order to come, Herlin and some other friends suddenly came bringing a cake and sang happy birthday. We had so much fun that day, thank you XII Science 2, the best class everrrr ♥
- Greetings from around the world | To make many international friends has always been my passion. Somehow it makes me really happy knowing that people out there also know my birthday. Because of FIE, this year I got many greetings from many different countries on Facebook. They're from Argentina, Brasil, Peru, Guatemala, and Mexico. I also got greetings from a friend who's currently in Singapore, United Kingdom, United States, Japan, and Germany. Someday, I wish I could visit all the countries people have sent me greetings from :)
I sincerely thank you for every short message you sent, every wish you made, every mention you tweeted, every greeting you posted, every cake you baked, and every surprise you gave. It's kind of sad thinking next year, it won't all be the same anymore, and I'll 'meet' it with totally new people. So thanks so much for making the last one extraordinary. Words can never express my gratitude for having you all in my life. Once again, AAMIIN and THANKS! :)
